If you have passed the IVOR TMT Tour Manager Training, you can be eligible for the European ETOA Tour Guide ID card. This Tour Guide ID Card offers you many benefits; among other things free admission to museums and other tourist attractions.

Aims of this TMT training:

• Help you gain an understanding of group processes;
• Make you aware of your professional role as a tour manager;
• Enable you to use your communications skills to guide your group as efficiently as possible;
• Enable you to use your communicative skills in a targeted manner to prevent or resolve conflicts;
• Equip you to give and receive feedback

 

Topics discussed include the following:

• Gaining insight into the way you communicate
• Skills for tour managers
• Behaviour and expectations
• Feedback
• Dealing with conversations involving resistance or bad news
• Problem-solving conversation
• Styles of management
• Group processes

 

Tour guide intensive practical training includes:

• 3 days of theory and one final practical day + practical exam.
• 2 days excursions in Amsterdam and Utrecht.
• Candidates will receive the diploma at the end of that practical day (ETOA Tour Guide ID card via the IVOR).
• Hotel in Utrecht during the course.

 

Course dates: 5/6/2020 – 13/6/2020

• 5/6 – Arrival and transfer to hotel.
• 6/6 – First theory day.
• 7/6 – Amsterdam excursion.
• 8/6 – Second theory day.
• 9/6 – Utrecht city tour.
• 10/6 – Free
• 11/6 – Third theory day.
• 12/6 – Practical day and test.
• 13/6 – Departure.

 

The price includes:

• The 4 days course.
• ETOA Tour Guide ID card via the IVOR.
• 9 days and 8 nights in a hotel in DBL occupancy BB.
• 2 days excursions in Amsterdam and Utrecht.

 

The price doesn’t include:

• International visa.
• International airfare.
• Personal expenses.
• Transfer from Airport to the hotel and return.
• Lunches and dinners are optional.
