How do you address the issue of safety?

Your safety is paramount to us. We regularly monitor official travel bulletins and practice caution in our planning – taking tours only to those locations that are known to be secure in Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan – all secular Muslim countries.

What if I have to cancel or interrupt my trip?

We strongly recommend that each participant take out trip cancellation/interruption insurance for reimbursement of non-refundable, unused, prepaid travel arrangements and payment of additional air transportation service in the event of trip cancellation or interruption due to an unforeseen injury, sickness or death affecting you, your traveling companions, immediate family members or business partners. Trip cancellation includes emergency evacuation; accident/ illness medical coverage, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, trip delay, baggage, and baggage delay. In the event of a trip cancellation with trip insurance, your deposits and final payments would be refundable, minus a handling charge paid to the insurer.

I have seen a tour I might like. How do I book it?

We are pleased you are interested in one of our tours. Please submit an inquiry to tell us which one and to submit any questions you might have. We will respond within 24 hours and help you through the registration. Alternately, if you are ready to book your tour and tour dates, you can click on the “Book Tour” button and follow the prompts.

Can I provide my personal data at a later time?

No. Personal data must be entered at time of booking. Please note that your details must match the details as they appear in your passport or on your ID. 

How do I pay?

Payment transactions can be completed securely online via iDeal, MasterCard or Visa.

How may I reach Ancient Culture Tours during my tour?

We can be reached by telephone and e-mail during office hours. We will respond within 24 hours. For emergency please call us at +316 47 47 31 13.

How do I file a complaint?

In the event that you feel the need to file a complaint, we are happy to receive your feedback. You can email your complaint directly to us at customerservice@ancientculturetours.com and we will respond within 4 business days. If you are still on your tour, we advise you to contact us by telephone at +316 47 47 31 13 during office hours to address your complaint.

How can I inform the hotel or restaurant about my dietary requirements or allergies?

If you have specific dietary requirements, please contact our Customer Service at +316 47 47 31 13. Not every hotel and/or restaurant provides customized meals. We will work with the hotels / restaurants to assess whether or not your requirements can be accommodated. This is important to determine prior to booking.

Is Ancient Culture Tours responsible for my travel documents?

You are responsible for obtaining the correct border documents for your journey, including addressing any changes in regulations that may have occurred. Please contact THE EMBASSY OF THE DESTINATION COUNTRY from your own country to determine the documents you will need to enter the country of your choice. In many cases, you can obtain travel visas online. Please obtain your visas well in advance of your departure dates. Passports set to expire w/in 6 months of your travel end date may not be considered valid. Please check the requirements of your destination country.

Can I request special travel preferences?

If you book your tour by phone, it is possible to request certain preferences (preference for type of bed, balcony, etc.). We will always try to accommodate special preferences for clients WHEN POSSIBLE, but it is ultimately dependent upon the individual hotel, restaurant, etc. Preferences therefore can never be guaranteed. If you book a trip via the internet, you can communicate your preferences to us by calling us at +316 47 47 31 13.

Must I reveal any personal circumstances affecting my ability to travel?

If the traveler has physical or mental conditions that may pose a discomfort, danger or risk to the traveler, other travelers or third parties (passengers and/or crew), these conditions must be disclosed to Ancient Culture Tours at time of booking. 

When is the “Travel Agreement” established?

When you have submitted your travel and personal information during the booking process and have agreed to the terms and conditions, Ancient Culture Tours considers this to be a definitive booking. We assume that you are fully aware of the conditions applicable to the travel agreement. The booking will be confirmed by e-mail within 24 hours. It is your responsibility to confirm that all personal and travel information has been entered and recorded accurately.

Can you offer some tipping guidelines for tours?

While gratuities are a reflection of the satisfaction of the client and at the clients’ discretion, we would like to mention that typical tipping for tour-guides in Europe is between $13–$18 USD per person, per day. Tips can be paid in any currency.

How does Ancient Culture Tours address price increases or alterations after booking?

Once published rates and tours have been booked, the prices are guaranteed not to change. Any possible cost increase after booking will be absorbed by Ancient Culture Tours. If you wish to have a room upgrade, at your extra expense, we will do our best to meet your request but ask that you make these requests as early possible.
